One Dark Window

One Dark Window is a book I have put on my TBR before. Even though continues to be popular and is a bestseller, for some reason I keep putting off reading it.

I have to admit that it has taken me some time before finally getting back into fantasy again. I enjoyed reading fantasy while in high school, but for some reason I could not get into reading them again until more recently.

One Dark Window is the first in a duology following Elspeth. She has a monster in her head. The time has arrived for her to unleash the monster in a time of trouble. This is a gothic fantasy story. One late night, Elspeth is near a highway. She meets a mysterious highwayman, and is pulled into a world of darkness and deception. She must fight the dark magic that threatens the kingdom. The second book is Two Twisted Crowns.

The Wednesday of the week this gets posted was when the cover reveal took place for The Knave of the Moon, the second book in the second series by Gillig which starts with The Knight and the Moth.

This is a romance fantasy series by the author that follows Sybil. She is a foundling girl who trades a decade of service for a place to stay in the cathedral where is the the Diviner.

Her wish for herself is to have no dreams at all.
