Everything I Never Told You

Another book over 10 years old that I have still not read is

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.

It is about an Asian American family living in a smalltown. 

One day the daughter passes away, and it is about the 

family coming to terms with her loss, and their grief.

This is another book I was interested in when it received 

attention on Booktube. With so many years have passed 

since then, I thought the first month in 2026 would be a 

good time to read it.

Since the release of the book in 2014, the author has written

 two more books, Little Fires Everywhere, and Our Missing 

Hearts. Little Fires Everywhere was adapted mini-series with 

Kerry Washington, Reese Witherspoon, and Joshua Jackson.

Ng’s third novel Our Missing Hearts was released in 2022. 

She has also contributed short stories and essays to various 

publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, and 

Bon Appetit.
