The Striker

Baseball fever is in the air with the Blue Jays vs Dodgers in the World Series. 

Meanwhile, I still have a soccer romance from the summer to read. I put The Striker on my TBR in July, and I still have not read it. There is even a sequel released this past week called The Defender. There will be a third book in the series called The Keeper. The romance is between a star soccer player and a ballerina who has moved out of the limelight and has become a sought out instructor. 

Ana Huang is the author known for her romance novels. There is the Gods of the Game, the name of the soccer romance series, there are also the steamy billionaire romances, the Kings of Sin series, with a new book that is set to be released in April 2026. There is the four-book Twisted series, and there is the If Love, both are considered to be New Adult and also have steamy scenes. She started as a novelist by self-publishing in 2019. Her Twisted series went viral on TikTok, then was republished by a traditional publisher.
